What is it?
The Street Retreat Charity Ride is a fundraising tour of Cambodia by bicycle. Spending 14 days in Cambodia, beginning at the Angkor Temples and finishing in the beachside town of Sihanoukville, participants have the opportunity to visit development projects, and experience Cambodia in a unique and rewarding way.
How it works
You pay for your travel costs, accommodation and meals for the duration of the trip.
We estimate a cost of approximately $1500 including airfares, accommodation, meals, and transport. Please be aware this figure is a guide only, using prices departing Melbourne, Australia.
Future Cambodia Fund will use our local knowledge to pre-book accommodation with sustainable tourism providers.
There are limited numbers of places available on trips.
Fundraising
You raise $1000, to be donated to Future Cambodia Fund. This money will go directly into supporting Future Cambodia Fund’s grassroots development projects, which we will visit along the way.
You can raise the $1000 in a variety of ways, including:
- Planning a fundraiser
- Approaching corporate sponsors
- Approaching local business
- Getting your friends, family and work colleagues to sponsor you
- Getting an article in your local paper calling for sponsorship
If you are able to raise more than $1000, you may choose to put any additional funds towards the cost of your trip, or donate it to Future Cambodia Fund.
